I still <3 Billy of the 90s !

As if Zeitgeist wasn't bad enough.

As if this wasn't the single most offensive picture of all of 2007:

And then just when I thought you couldn't go any lower than shagging Courtney, he goes and does this:

WTF?!
Why did self respect die with the 90s?

Sadness :/

Maybe being a self-absorbed, grunge/metal, "anti-establishment", middle-class rockstar is just another version of what is supposedly wrong with everyone else. Maybe Billy Corgan is just a good musician (I would venture great), with very little substance. Maybe Britney Spears was just a fresh replacement for an aging brand. Maybe we are to the nineties, what hippies were to the sixties .. pre-cursors of middle aged apathy.

What we need is fresh blood to help us understand the art and philosophy of this alien and abrasive age. Or maybe we should just sleep...

@ saaleha: I know, it broke my heart. Trashy I tell ye, trashy.

@goolam_d: Dude, he's got more substance than A LOT of other musicians. He's quite the poet too. Whilst lots of people might not 'get' what he's saying, you can take it on my good authority that musically (composition), and lyrically(poetics) he's quite the master. However I do believe that TSP need them all, Billy, Jimmy, James and D'arcy. They're not a brand to sell, they had a unique energy and chemistry between them.

@libra: We should sleep through the current wave of bad music and wake up when it's all over, don't you think?

@ gooky gomez: yeah, I knew that...he wrote a song for her too.Thankfully it wasn't Stand Inside Your Love. Or Ava Adore. wait?! maybe it was..."you'll always be (a) whore"? But if Billy drops dead suddenly...we'll know who to accuse as a potential serial killer!!

I think that this episode clearly shows that youthful angst contributes about as much understanding to art and philosophy as the Taleban did.

There's alot of really good music out there right now. But it does not necessarily enjoy the mainstream success of music that American suburbia generally consumes.

I think good music is subjective but in regards to selling out, some people just don't like sitting out of the limelight for so long. Sometimes people get into the music business for the glitz rather than the music.

I listen to the music, and make up my own image. But what do i know, I like Foreigner :)

Heard their new album was sort of going to what they were originally, but the mix was so bad it kida just fell apart.

To quote Sickboy's theory of life from Trainspotting... "at one time, you've got it, and then you lose it, and it's gone forever."

Sad.

Shyte.

That pic is offensive to the core. that Courtney is one rof chick man (LOL and you and cujo can keep the sarcasm on that one for now :P)

Sometimes I think Kurt was right, rather kill yourself, die a legend than be reduced to a shadow of your former glory and sell out so bad. That video just spelled the end of grunge. The total end. Kiedis and Veeder are now truly the last ones left.

I gotta mail Billy and tell him to get himself tested out for stuff, you never can tell what's lurking in Courtney.yuck sis man...
