Inflation

1x pair of Doc Martens somewhere around 1996 or before...R300-350ish

December 2006...they die whilst not in my direct possession.

1 x (last) pair of Doc Martens(tagged with the sign of the beast) June 2007 from some obscure charo shop... R200

(I kid you not, that was the price. Thanks to some weird high paying, very easy, very last minute editing job, (which I didn't think counted as "work", therefore considered it freebie money)I only had to throw in R200 which is R100 less than 10 years ago.)(Okay, my logic might be a bit weird there but it makes sense to me)

...Being rawking enough to still wear them...

....priceless.

\m/

For everyone else there's pointy Nine West Stiletto boots
(but not for,)
rah*

PS breaking them in again is a bitch...

@ cobain...lol I remember those, from when you were just a smaaaalll lil boi. hahaha lol@ grunge porn.

@singleguy...see the yellow stitching isn't all that glaring after a while. It gets all dirty with shoe polish and general wear and fades.

@waseem...lol! yes my point exactly. The shoes that bore the Mark of the Beast :P. I was lucky I guess, friend from Cape Town was telling me that they go for around R2000 there. That's madness...goth exploitation.

@ anonymous F: LOL @ wednesday and Count Dorky and Doc on :P thanks :) and welcome to it :)

@ libra: I also had a blossom hat (or 2 or maybe more :/)yeah embarrassing as it was, my mother thought I looked cute in them o_O. A black suede-ish one with a sunflower, a denim one and a deep purple one. I think the black one might still be around somewhere, you still got yours?

*shudders and yet wistfully reminisces*

@ priya and r: Plaza does have them, but they're close onto R1000 there.

@ anonymous: that's an opinion which you're entitled too. However, next time please sign in as someone so that we can all laugh at your horrendous spelling and the translation of whatever you've just said there from English into fucktard.

@ mazozo: chylde, you are but a wee laddy...bronx was infinitely more your time than mine :)

@zahira: I am fully aware of that...I just don't have time to upload it.

Wait!Actually, yes it is just you. I think your internet and PC are conspiring against you. Press and hold Alt+F4, alternatively, go to My Computer>right click C: Drive> press delete. If it asks you if you're sure you want to delete C: Drive, click twice and fast.

@ Anon: err thanks, I'll be sure to teleport myself there as soon as you leave a dress code guidelines together with all that info.

@junaid: duuuude...I told you not to tell them!!!! dammit! that was our secret :(

zahira...you wore "guys" docs? u do know that doc martens are unisex rite?????and u wore them to school. lol.hehehe.
i used to have this theory that ppl who wore docs to school were ppl who wanted attention and popularity.

omg @ cobain LOL...I noticed that too, I was just too polite to draw attention to that. Bazh says hi back and that he's gonna skin you when he sees you again :D

@mazozo that's the point toughees were really comfy and back in the day you were the most original person if you wore school shoes.Well, at least in our hell hole of a school :)

@ blog person: thank you very much, much appreciated. Glad you like reading The Chronicles, but I'm not really that sort of blogger who is here for awards/even comments for that matter. This queen tries to stay below the radar:).But thanks for the effort though, it's cool. :)
